[Grand Prix Story] Races
By : GajRaces and Grand Prix
In GPS it’s possible to race on a single race, awarding you a cash prize according to your position and also a special prize for your first time victory. Also, you can win auras if you place in second or first for the first time.
It’s also possible to participate in a Grand Prix (championship), which consist in a number of tracks that will award you with cash and points. In the end of the Grand Prix, if your pilots manage to win the most points among all the competitors, you’ll receive a huge amount of money and be promoted to the next GP.
Only the best ranked pilot each race gives you points to compete for the championship. After you win the last GP, you’ll unlock a special track.

[Grand Prix Story] Sponsors
By : GajThey play a big role in the game. It’s possible to have two sponsor contracts at the same time, and you should always aim to satisfy their needs, racing as much as you can for an optimal exposure. They’ll pay each semester a sum based on its initial fixed value and your performance.
Each sponsor has a fixed amount of points that will fill as you race and, once completed, will unlock a bonus. These bonus can be money, car parts or even new cars. Also, they will refer you to new sponsors (the irony here is that the ideal thing to do is cancel your previous contract and sign with the newly introduced sponsor).
Below there is a list of every sponsor possible in the game, how much they will pay (without bonuses), how much advertisement points are needed to reach the max status and what bonus the max status give. Bridgerock and Mocha Cola are the only sponsors that unlocks after winning a race. The others are unlocked by maxing out a sponsor.

These add-ons will improve stats, give bonuses and features to cars that normally wouldn’t have them (i.e. ice driving). All parts add-ons have a rank (the difficulty associated with installing them) as well as a deployment cost (the price to add to your car). Additional technology is usually available by winning races, pleasing sponsors or upgrading existing technology beyond 80%.

[Grand Prix Story] Cars
By : GajCar Attributes
Your main objective in the game if you want to be competitive is to create a car with balanced attributes. They are equally important, as you’ll be racing in different types of tracks. Have that in mind specially while installing parts in your car. Now, based on the Duck car image below, let’s talk about the Car Attributes
Durability (Dur): This attribute can only be raised while upgrading the car, spending Research Data. This action is permanent, so you should think wisely if you want to wait for a golden aura or not. This attribute measures the resistance of your car. Higher it is, more it can stand without being repaired.
Speed (Spd): It reflects the top speed your car can reach. High Speed means your car will suffer more damage, so be careful.
Acceleration (Acc): Mainly it’s how fast you gain speed while racing. Important for curvy tracks.
Handling (Hndl): If the car has a high handling, it’s easier to control thus the driver won’t break and lose much speed in curves.
Expansion (Exp): That’s the number of slots your car has, which means the number of parts that can be installed simultaneously in the car.
Symbols
The following attributes are measured with symbols. x is the worst possible, a triangle is bad, a circle is normal and a circle with a smaller circle inside is good.
Advertising (Adv): Shows if the vehicle is good to advertise. The example, a Duck Car, has a circle with a smaller circle inside, meaning that racing with it is a good way to get the attention of your sponsors.
Repair (Rep): This one shows if the car is easily repaired. That affects the repair time
On road (On-Rd): Shows if the vehicle is good on paved road circuits. Note that they are the most numerous type of track
Off Road (Off-Rd): Shows if the vehicle is good on off-road circuits
Icy Road (Icy Rd): Shows if the vehicle is good on icy road circuits
Car Drive
When building your car, you’ll also need to choose a drive type. This will affect almost all its attributes, so you should be cautious, planning your cars according to your next races
Drive FR: INCREASES Speed and Acceleration; DECREASES Repair, Off-Rd and Icy-Rd. This one will be your main drive throughout the game, as most of the races will be On-Rd, not affected by the decreased attributes. You should be aware that it makes the car more expensive and harder to repair.
Drive FF: INCREASES Durability. Although not very useful for racing in general, until later in the story when you’ll unlock new Drives, this one will be your main option for Off-Rd and Icy-Rd circuits, as you don’t have any penalty in those abilities. Also, it’s the cheapest one, useful also in the beginning of the game.

[Grand Prix Story] Mechanics

Mechanics
The following list shows all the mechanics available in the game. Be aware that most of them won’t appear immediately, as it’s needed to unlock new garages and races for them to appear. The values showed are the ones the mechanic starts with, as soon as you hire him or her. Between brackets, the value indicates what you’ll roughly obtain after you level up the mechanic to level 5. To obtain this number, the mechanic was levelled to 5 right after he/she was hired, so you’ll probably experience different values in your gameplay as they gain random stats from time to time. For example, 10 (50) means that the mechanic is hired with a value of 10 and ends with 50 after levelled to 5.
For each driver, you can hire a number of mechanics based on your garage level that will add part of their skills to the pilot’s skills. Mechanics have 3 skills that acts exactly the same as Driver Skills: Appeal, Tech and Analysis. This means that mechanics will help you getting more Research Data, get better scores with sponsors and getting better car, parts and doing faster research, upgrade and repairs. Remember that to train mechanics, you need to spend Research Data, and not your hard earned money as you do with drivers.
The first time I played the game, I got a Mechanic called “Chimp” or something to that effect. he had great stats, but after going through the game several times more, I cannot seem to unlock him again.
Chimp will unlock after you win the Chimp GP… You just need to check the staff to hire every month until he appear… This is also true with the Kairobot, but he is a pilot…
I suppose someone could do the research of the lvl 5 of these mechanics… It’s a little hard to say for sure the total stat of a mechanic as it will gain more points as they repair/research/upgrade things… the only way for sure would be to hire one and rightaway level himher to level 5… Is someone doing it?

Drivers skills
There are 6 skills your driver possesses
Pedal: Increases vehicle top speed
Shift: Increases vehicle acceleration
Steer: Increases ease of turns
Appeal (Appl): Gives you better ratings with the sponsor
Tech: Affect quality of creating vehicles and installing parts. Increases speed of research and upgrades. Makes repairing faster
Analysis (Anlys): Helps getting more Research Data
You should be aware that even the best drivers won’t do you any good if you don’t have a good, competitive car.
Auras
From time to time, your drivers are going to receive a special effect: Aura. They come with different colors and will help you in various ways:
While training: the pilot will be succeed in the training, receiving much more points that a regular training without aura would give. Also, when with aura, it’s possible to train the abilities after they’ve already reached the maximum value.
While researching: the researches will will occur almost immediately.
While upgrading: The parts you upgrade with aura will receive higher improvements. For the best upgrade possible, you should aim for yellow (golden) auras, as they’ll provide massive amounts of points.
While racing or qualifying: It’s possible to use the aura as a turbo for your car, gaining some precious seconds while racing or qualifying.
While creating cars: With the aura active, the car receives a boost in one of one of the main three attributes (speed, acceleration, handling)

(Garages/Cars/Etc)
Your first garage, where you start the game, have room for two cars, one pilot and two mechanics. You’ll unlock the second garage after winning the first formula (Formula Smile). In this new garage, it’ll be possible to have up to four car and two drivers. For each driver, you’ll be able to employ four mechanics. The last garage will unlock after you win the Asia Formula. It’ll allow you to hold 6 cars and employ 6 mechanics for each of your drivers.
